Types Of Pains and Causes

Back Pain

A lack of spinal flexibility can lead to pain and stiffness in the lower back and thoracic spine. Golf requires good rotation through the hips, pelvis and spine. It is therefore very important to warm-up before playing with gentle exercises and stretches.

Wrist and Elbow Pain

Poor grip technique can contribute to wrist and elbow pain. Often a change in this area can have consequences on the shoulder and neck region through over compensating.

Knee Pain

Knee pain can be caused by over bending the knees when swinging, or pivoting too much through the knee instead of turning your feet out slightly to reduce this stress. Too much rotation through the knee on the downswing phase of the swing can lead to ligament or sometimes meniscal injuries.
